Most people think a sauna hat is a novelty—until they try one. If you’ve ever had to cut a good heat session short because your ears were burning or your head felt like it was baking on the top bench, this is the fix.

These are handmade right here in Minnesota by an authentic Finlander using 100% natural felted wool.

Because heat rises, your head takes the brunt of the temperature in a sauna. Wool is a natural insulator, which means it keeps your head cool in extreme heat (and warm if you’re doing outdoor cold-plunge rotations). It shields your hair from drying out and keeps your ears comfortable so you can actually sit back, breathe, and enjoy the löyly.

How to Care For It

Wool is naturally dirt and odor resistant, so it rarely needs a full wash.

  1. After every session: Just hang it up by the top loop in a well-ventilated spot to air dry.
  2. If it needs cleaning: Hand wash in cold water with a gentle wool soap.
  3. Drying: Gently reshape it while damp and lay it flat to dry. Keep it out of the washing machine and dryer!
